100% LED lighting for the Philippe-Pottier football stadium in Monthey

FC Monthey has returned to the 1st League, and the club’s supporters will once again be able to cheer on their team during home matches, as the stadium lighting now complies with the national standards required for 1st League football matches.

The city’s two football pitches were previously equipped with lighting installations dating back to the 1980s and 1990s. These older systems relied on outdated, energy-intensive light sources, making a complete upgrade both necessary and timely.

For this project, the City of Monthey set several key objectives: reducing energy consumption, minimizing light pollution in the areas surrounding the pitches, and ensuring that the facilities met the lighting requirements for 1st League competition.

To meet the needs of both the municipality and the football club, 20 OMNIBLAST 3 LED floodlights were installed. The new lighting solution delivers:

• Significant energy savings: energy consumption is expected to be reduced by approximately two-thirds.
• Improved uniformity: providing more consistent lighting across the entire playing surface.
• Enhanced colour rendering: improving visibility and visual comfort for players, officials, and spectators.
• Flexible lighting scenarios: allowing lighting levels to be adapted for matches or training sessions.

This modern LED installation ensures high-quality lighting performance while reducing operating costs and environmental impact, creating an optimal environment for football activities at all levels.
